Day 02: Mumbai
This morning visit the incredible ancient rock-cut caves found on Elephanta Island, one of the islets found in Mumbai’s harbour. Witness this striking UNESCO World Heritage sight, a network of Hindu and Buddhist caves, featuring intricately carved sculptures and reliefs, believed to have been carved between the 5th and 8th Centuries. During the afternoon of your second day in Mumbai is free for independent exploration, perhaps to wander along iconic Marine Drive or perusing the stalls at the numerous street markets.
